Well I didn't get to see the second half of the match, but it looks like it turned into the massacre I thought it would be.

Portugal and Germany have been oddly aggression this match. It's pretty good.
Don't know how Portugal gonna recover from that Red Card though. . .and the answer seems to be that they aren't.
Germany's up 3-0 at the half.

I think these days I listen almost exclusively to video game soundtracks, especially from the Mega Ten metaseries. . .

I don't think there will be any singing of Jerusalem tonight.

Man, and I thought that the Spurs steamrolling the Heat in past two NBA finals games was bad. Which one is the NBA again? And tonight is Italy V England. I'll be interested in this. And Columbia beat Greece 3-0. All the matches so far have been amazing to watch. Completely against the norm. It stands for National Basketball Association. Is the World Cup usually boring?

I thought that it would be nice to have a thread for organize online multiplayer stuff for the forum, be it Team Fortress, trading Pokemon, or dueling in hearthstone.
Be sure to indicate your Steam, Xbox Live accounts, or friend codes when you're organizing.

The politics and nationalism is bad enough at the club level, national level must be absolutely atrocious. It's why I only bother to follow international football at the olympic level, and then only the female teams (this of course has nothing to do with the fact that our women's national team is better then our men's national team ). And i'm more then aware that American sports is nothing if not masturbatory. Might tune in for Netherlands and Spain though.

Hmm, well whatever. I'm more of a club guy anyway. These kinds of national team things get to ugly for my taste.

Obviously rigged? I only got to see a little of Brazil v. Croatia, but how could you tell that? And is this really that common in FIFA events?

Well, the way I've been thinking and refining my idea for a boardgame it seems to be more like a mini-RPG, which admittedly is what several boardgames, particularly cooperative ones are.
Anyway, the idea I feel I have settled on is that at the beginning of the game each player picks a character who will have unique stats and/or abilities that govern how they move and what they do. They are also each given a quest at the beginning (or pick one if the playing group so desires)and start at the edge of Ponyville. The idea is that each character has come to Ponyville to resolve a particular issue that can range from the mundane (has come to pick out a wedding dress), to the mysterious (tracking down changelings).
Each player has certain number of things they need to do to complete their quest, and they can't do it alone. Not only do they need to coordinate with the other player characters, but they need to enlist the aid of Ponyville's residents. On each place that a person lands on (representing locations in Ponyville), in addition to whatever function it serves the player roles a dice to see which Ponyville residences happen to be there while the player is at the location. The player then has the option to have his character befriend the Ponyville resident which allows them control of an additional character to perform task and accomplish goals.
The players must coordinate with each others "circle of friends" if they want to accomplish what they came to do in Ponyville.
A pretty bare bones idea at the moment, but one that I think can be built upon.

I have to admit, that's not exactly what I had in mind, but it probably works better as a game for a younger audience then what I had in mind.
Nice board by the way.

How exactly should Dragon's be in FiM. There are so many ways for Dragon's to be in fiction I wouldn't know which to choose for FiM. Just introduce one dragon other than Spike who isn't a major arse. Silly Sydxelia. Spike's not a dragon, he's a pony. Said so himself. I don't know, maybe some day Spike will meet a troop of dragons like him. . . But I wouldn't count on it being anymore then fanart at this stage.

Well I only know them through a different video game (Crusader Kings II). But going back, yes I do imagine the Unicorns as Rusianesque slavs.
That does seem to be it. I can also imagine them raiding and possibly being mercenaries. Probably not the thing the thing Pegasi want to be remembered for.
They could just as easily be the ones extorting the others. The fact that the play seems to imply the other way around does mean it's necessarily true.

I don't think it gets a lot of dislike; it's more that it's just considered average by a lot of people because it doesn't have the kinds of crazy moments that most other episodes do. It's way more subtle than most of the show, so it gets forgotten easily, especially since its an early episode. That's true. Also, is it 'Owl's Well That Ends Well'? Is that what it's called? Whatever the name, that's another one low down on my preference list. The dragon was the only good thing about it. Huh...why can't MLP do Dragons well? How exactly should Dragon's be in FiM. There are so many ways for Dragon's to be in fiction I wouldn't know which to choose for FiM.
