Speaking of teams one would expect to do better. England loses to Uruguay 2-1 and is also functionally eliminated. I'm not sure if this is nearly as surprising as Spain's collapse. Lol...this isn't surprising at all. England always (and I mean always) do this during the World Cup! Well never mind that then. Though I do wonder if the English team gets any fan support from the rest of Britain. I'm going to assume, given recent events and just how football fandom generally works, that that's a big No.

And so it done. Spain loses 2-0, and is effectively eliminated after it's second game having been out scored 7-1 after said two games.
Unbelievable.
On a brighter note that means both The Netherlands and Chile advance to the round of 16.

They seem to be falling apart. Not unlike Portugal did with Germany. Though this is quite a bit worst obviously.
This is not looking to be a good cup for the Iberian Peninsula teams.

So. . .at the half Chile is leading Spain 2-0.
This not only unexpected, but really quite embarrassing.

After the rather bland and uninspired first outing I don't think I can give this piece any benefit of the doubt.

Quite a bit went on at E3, particularly on Nintendo's side between Smash Bros., Splatoon, new Zelda, Bayonetta, etc.

I've actually never played Team Fortress 2 before. Not sure if I would be interested.
I am considering getting Hearthstone though. Hope I don't end up spend a ton of money on packs.

The USA is indeed leading, though I'm not confident that that lead will stick.
By the way, does only one team advance from each group? I don't know the exact rules of that.
