Okay. Next, AJ's team were the Godslayers. Lazorgator the Ferraligator, Brian the Pidgeot, Katie the Dragonight, Solid Snake the Steelix and Burrito the Espeon. Ace the Raticate got them into the Hall of Fame, but hewas deposited before Mount Silver. And yes, Red had the Chosen Six as his team, with levels raised to canon Red's levels. Also, I'm putting up parts of my first playthrough of the game! imgur.com/a/TR2rmStill with me?

Okay. AgainTheSaga made these awesome DVD covers with useful blurbs: imgur.com/a/EzKzzThe Twitch Pokedex project is also really good: www.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/2pvum3/the_twitch_pok%C3%A9dex_568_entries/Anyway, next, I guess I'll discuss the pokemon teams: Red had the Chosen Six: They were Lord Helix, Bird Jesus (his prophet, a pidgeot), AA-J (Archangel Zapdos, his angel), King Fonz (a nidoking), Air (a prince/princess and a lapras) and ATV, the all-terrain venomoth, the dragonslayer. Still with me?

Well, this is a morbid moment to drop in.
I hope that your computer issues don't last, Applelight.
Also, I have similar views of Korra to Wryte.
Also, a Silmarillion anthology would be awesome.
Also, JT, are you still reviewing Fantasia, or did I miss something?

Sorry that it's been so long since my last reply. Real life has been complicated and I've been play testing the game. It's a lot of fun! There's some nice features, like an HUD display of your party, the time and the number of pokeballs you have left with your choice of nicknames/health bars/experience bars.
And there are some visual novel-ish elements too. You get to pick choices which affect what happens in the game, resulting in multiple endings. And there is lovely art included.
Anyway, in addition to the canon antagonists, we have Bill and his minions. Bill invented the PC system, which causes us to release pokemon. Sometimes the fossil gods fight and we get drawn into the conflict. Also, Fennel invented the C-Gear which traped us, so she's treated as an antagonist as well.

Okay. Cool.
The Voices manifest as Unowns.
The Streamer and his dekuNukem manifest as an Arceus and a Zygarde respectively, hence their nicknames.
Each of the games had a different host.
For Red, it was Red, who defeated Team Rocket resurrected Lord Helix and popularised his worship.
For Crystal, it was AJ, who hated the gods, also defeated Team Rocket, but defeated Red and killed Lord Helix (in addition to defeating Lord Amber).
For Emerald, it was Camila A. Slash, who summoned the Voices to have fun, but learned responsibility and took down Teams Magma and Aqua before defeating the Elite Four, Bill's servants, in order to track him down and make him pay, but he had already escaped.
For Fire Red, it was Alice, Bill's daughter, who learned who defeated Team Rocket as well and fought against her father's plans.
For Platinum, it was Napoleon, who learned to love pokemon during his mission to conquer Sinnoh and defeated Cyrus and Team Galactic before bringing Sinnoh into a glorious new age.
For Heart Gold, it was Aoooo, who was a were-wolf (?) and was chosen by the gods to finally defeat Bill and return balance and restore the gods.
For Black, it was Jimmy, a fan of the Voices who defeated Team Plasma and gave up evolution for the host after him.
(Pokemon Conquest was played next and is typically treated as a distant prequel. The host, Lady Abin the Third united Ransei, defeating Nobongu who wished to use his black rayquaza to destroy the Streamer. But The Streamer teamed up with Lady Abin and they defeated Nobunga. Lady Abin married Nobunga's sister Oichi and took Nobunga as a concubine. Bill is one of their descendants. The Streamer told the Voices that he'd see us again when we proved ourselves worthy).
In Blaze Black 2, it was Chloe, stage name Cly. She was an idol who didn't know what to do with her life, but the Voices awoke a competitive streak in her and she became insanely badass, defeating Lord Drive and Team Plasma again, caught seven legendaries, took her entire team bar one to level 100 (he was level 99) and proved herself worthy to Streamer-senpai who showed himself to her before letting her compete against the other hosts (bar Lady Abin) where she defeated them all.
For X, it was Richard (lil'd), an insecure narcissist who defeated Team Flare and learned to have a healthier view of himself.
For the Omega Ruby demo, it was Orlando. A younger brother of Brendan or an older brother of the later Artemis Haze the Twelfth who helped out Steven Stone in a worrying relationship.
For Omega Ruby, it was Artemis Haze the Twelfth. Depending on who you ask, he either lives in an AU, or is Camila's grandson (I favour the latter). Him and his rock group (which may also be a criminal organisation), the Bunny Mafia, defeated Team IGN (Team Magma), and Deoxys.

Understood. Maybe I should try getting back to basics. I've been playtesting though, so soon, I'll be able to post screenshots (been collecting them, but I need to filte for spoilers and stuff with permission from the main developer). Okay! Most important. The fans are called "Voices" (or The Mob/Legion/etc). The Voices inhabit the minds of children and teenagers (hosts) and order them around, which makes them clumsy yet oddly competent, in order to achieve their goals. Fossils are the gods of the TPP Universe, outranked only by Arceus-Streamer-Senpai (the guy in charge) and Deku-Zygarde-Senpai (his second-in-command, mod and the one who hosts the 3DS steams). With me so far?

Jimmy's Team ("The Expendables" "The Student Council"):
The Expendables were often portrayed as superheros, or at least wannabe superheros. Tragedy early in the run meant that lot of their lore was developed quite late.
NONNQWMMSO (Nonon Tympazure, Anonymous, The Survivor) the Tympole:
Nonon is absolutely Jimmy's signature mon. Nonon is praised and dubbed "The Survivor" by The Voices due to the fact that she survived two PC massacres and is the only member of Jimmy's early team left (Unless you count J Voon, who was boxed). Nonon is definitely a favourite from this run and at the height of The Voices depression, people openly said that she was the only character they cared about as her defiance of death endeared her to The Voices. Nonon is widely associated with Nonon Jakuzure from Kill la Kill and is often drawn dressed similarly and wearing the skull (or at least, a replica of the skull) of Commander Kevin Bacon out of respect for her former team leader. She is also praised as a dragon slayer due to how she worked well with Fives to take down Drayden's dragons. Other than that, she is often portrayed as traumatised and shell-shocked due to the fact that her friends keot being lost and she's portrayed as very cute as well.
~☀☀☀ the Joltik (Sparky, Peter Sparker, Spoderman):
Peter got the nickname "Sparky" from what his name looks like and this was combined with him being a spider to make "Peter Sparker". He was then given "Spoderman" as his superhero name (Not sure why "o"). This popularised the "superhero" theme. Peter is often portrayed as sitting on Megahenry's ear and chewing it. He is also sometimes seen as one of the few good members of a mostly evil race, trying to counteract the evil's his race has done. This is due to the fact that releases happened due to people demanding to get one of the joltiks out of the PC. Peter was caught right afterwards, having come to make amends for the evil done by his race.

Well! Twitch Plays Pokemon Omega Ruby starts tomorrow. Why not check it out? And feel free to look through V tropes and the lore section of the wiki on the subreddit for anything else.
That said, apparently, the release of the first alpha version of Pokemon Twitch Version to the alpha testers (including myself) is expected to be BEFORE Omega Ruby starts. So, I'm surprised and excited.
Anyway, let's get back to it:
Bianca:
The Voices were angry that her father wouldn't let her become a trainer and wanted to release him. But her role is similar to canon.
Cheren:
Again, he ha a similar role to canon.
Hilda/FGQ UVL (Subway Queen Hilda, The World's Most Powerful Trainer):
Hilda was a popular choice for the next host, due to her "booty", as it was typically referred to. The fact that she wasn't chosen made her Jimmy's partner in the subway, so she was portrayed as a homeless hobo living there and looking after the pokemon that lived down there. She carried us in the subway when we partnered her and we were more of a hindrance than a help to her, but she still had fun. She's generally portrayed as eventually taking over the subway, largely due to ho badass she became. In Blaze Black 2, she became the only trainer we've been completely unable to defeat, not even with one o the most powerful and competent hosts we've ever had. She's not viewed as an enemy, but as a "worthy opponent" of sorts. Someone to aspire to be like. She now has a level 100 Zekrom. She's also one of the people sometimes shipped with Jimmy. Her other name comes from accidentally restarting the game as her.

Before I move onto Black, I think that I should mention one more thing.
The Zetsu clones.
This is odd in that it had nothing to do with stream events and everything to do with the community. The redditor ZetsuTheFirst began making screencap comics, mostly staring Bill at first, near the end of Emerald and they quickly became very popular. To the point that if Zetsu said something, most would accept it as headcanon. This was largely because he's an excellent writer, but some became annoyed by how popular he was and how big an influence he was having on the lore (simply as a side effect of being popular and having interesting ideas). As such, someone made a fake account designed to impersonate him and make their own comics as an act of protest. Zetsu took this in stride which resulted in people finding the idea amusing. As such, it quickly became a meme to impersonate Zetsu and make similar comics, typically with a twist. I am one of those who still occasionally makes them as ZetsuTheFir, who makes comics about Trees Play Pokemon, which is a series consisting of pictures of plants with captions based on puns. As a "spinoff" one user imitated Everyle, another popular artist famous for her Brendan comics. These comics were badly spelled and had poor editing, but that eventually became part of the appeal, and established Brendan, or at least, a version of him, as really "swag".
Twitch Plays Pokemon Black
"There will always be heroes"
Phew! Black lived up to its name! This was possibly the darkest time in the fandom. Trolls were at the height of their power and at points, had near absolute control. The feeling of absolute helplessness resulted in a wave of depression sweeping through the fandom (I too was affected) and many gave up completely. Yet just as it's darkest before the dawn, just as in stories, it gets darkest right before the triumph, just as some stories show that no mater how bad things seem, there is always hope, so too was Black to TPP. That said, it was a run with plenty of humour despite that. Also, this was one of the cases were debates of which protagonist to choose got very intense. In the campaign for the boy, it was suggested that he was already a fan of the Voices, and that became important to his later characterisation. But Hilda would get her time to shine later on.
GMYC ("Jimmy C." "Gimmick" "Jim Costello" "James Costello"):
"Oooooh my gosh!. THE Voices?? Like from RED??! Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh! I am, like, your biggest fan. I know everything about you, oh mu god."
"Oooooh, are you going to name me now? This is so exciting! GMYC? Jimmy C? That's a good name, guys. Love it! Hey, do you want to do the fire starter thing again? That was fun, right?"
"You're a great guy, N, but you're wrong. I don't need a legendary to beat you. I will beat you with the friends I've bonded with on this journey, and I'll prove to you how wrong it would be to separate us!"
Jimmy C. Gimmick was a protagonist that caused us a lot of frustration in his attempts to please us. Despite this, he is often referred to as an underrated protagonist (including by yours truly). This is because it was only after Black finished that we looked back and realised how great his character development was (going from a fanboy doormat who would do anything someone tells him to do in order to impress them to someone who stands up against someone he admires for something he believes in) and his popularity quickly shot up a large amount after the end of the run. Jimmy was typically seen as friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, hyper, affable, chipper and of slightly below average intelligence. He was easily impressed and prone to being starstruck and was very submissive as well as a nice guy. He would eagerly obey anyone who impressed him. He was typically seen as an ascended fanboy of the Voices, often being portrayed as having comics of them and their hosts, especially under interpretations that their was a large gap between Heartgold and Black. He is also typically portrayed as an obsessive gamer and trying to become a hero, or even a superhero. He eagerly tried to please the Voices, but wasn't often very good at it. He was also easily swayed by Team Plasma, N, and the trolls, releasing lots of his pokemon. Under some interpretations, he even tried to help them, becoming the superhero, Plasma Man. Yet, he also tried to provide for his pokemon, and under some interpretations, some of his releases were allowing his pokemon to follow their dreams of becoming musical stars. Eventually, he realised that Team Plasma was wrong. He had to catch Reshiram to face N, but while he caught Reshiram (and named him Oooom), he refused to use him, using his normal team as a point to N. That it is wrong to separate friends. Immediately afterwards he faced Ghetsis, beating both N and Ghetsis in a single try. Jimmy was altruistic and willingly sacrificed his pokemons' ability to evolve (the Streamer made a deal with the fans) in order to guarantee that the next host would have the ability to evolve. He never faced Alder and never officially made it to the Hall of Fame, but he did beat N, who was champion at the time and he did beat the Elite Four. Jimmy was not our most powerful trainer, but he was out greatest hero.

Dark Helix "Bill's Grandfather", "Darth Helix":
Bill's grandfather transformed into a shadow of an omanyte, giving birth to the idea of the Dark Gods and the Outsiders. We don't know why he was possessing Bill's Grandfather, but he is known as the god of Nihilism and is associated with everything wrong with anarchy, especially evolution cancellations and releases.
Poké Maniac Brent:
"I'll teach you all I know about Bill, so leave me your phone number."
Brent was our informant, telling us all about Bill. Whether Brent was trying to help us or jst a fan of Bill's is up for debate.
The Kimono Girls are sometimes thought of as having helped raise Aoooo. They summoned Zeek's iPhone for her. They also revealed that they were were-psyducks in one glitch in the game.
Incidently, Falkner didn't have a type when we fought him, due to the fact that randomisation was still underway. He had a shellos and a nidorina, both of which knew aqua jet;. He is seen as a tri-athlete. Morty had an omastar and Chuck was immune to randomisation, stying fighting type, because he's Chuck Norris and too badass to be randomised.
Next: Black
