Thanks, guys. And you have a good trip, too, Applelight.

Yeah, the parents live in a tiny town that's about an hour and a half south of Chicago.

Heh, tomorrow I'm leaving on a trip to Illinois. Not as cool as London, I guess.

Are there options for customizing? Are they designed to mix-and-match different parts to create your own models, or do you have to start sawing pieces if you want to do that?

Writing Trixie and Ditzy Doo, I wonder if perhaps I've taken Trixie's personality a little too far.
I suppose if I have gone too far, I can say that Trixie's experience in this story is why she's relatively dialed back by the time "Boast Busters" happens.

Trick boss types that immediately come to mind:
Trick a dumb boss into directly attacking itself. I.e. it tries to smash Spike with a hammer, then Spike stands on its head, and it smashes its own head with the hammer.
Trick a boss into attacking something that reflects the attack back at them.
Trick the boss into destroying the environment in such a way that injures them. Say, they destroy four pillars, and the ceiling collapses on their head.

Dang, this stuff really does write itself. Trixie’s a lot of fun to write.

A lot of Americans eat ham rather than any poultry for Christmas dinner because they just had turkey for Thanksgiving.

I used to start listening to Christmas music in mid-October. This is waiting for me.

I just set up my Christmas tree. It's an artificial one, about 3 feet tall, but I covered it in lights. This is the first time in a few years I've bothered to make my place look Christmassy.

Hmm...
"What are you doing out in these woods at this hour? Are you some kind of highway robber? Are you going to rob the Great and Powerful Trixie?!"
"Uh... no."
"Why not? Trixie has many things worth stealing!"
"What?"
"Don't you back away like that. Come over here and try to rob Trixie!"

And upon further thought, if I do make Ditzy and Trixie traveling companions, I'll need to make a proper short story of it. Because the current format I'm writing (epistolary story) really wouldn’t do justice to Trixie's hamminess.

I'm working on Ditzy Doo’s backstory. So far, the idea is that she was born in Ponyville, then moved to Cloudsdale with her parents. After she finished school, she drifted from town to town for a few years before winding up in Ponyville and settling down for good. All of this happened before the first episode of the show, of course.
Would it be too contrived if, during her drifting, Ditzy crossed paths with Trixie, and they wound up traveling together for a few weeks?
