Well it turns out I didn't have to worry about the test too much, and now I'm a college graduate with two degrees . . . yaaaay. So yeah, I had my commencement ceremony yesterday and afterwards went to an old and venerable Japanese restaurant for dinner. All and all, not a bad day. Now to get a job, and range insurance and doctor's appointments.

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't been here much. I've been a bit busy and I tend to not like to make this essentially be a personal blog. . .even though that's pretty much been my activity here lately.
Took my final test for my degree today. I would have to have scored incredibly low to not pass this class, but it was a difficult test regardless. I'm anxious for this to be over.
Also our dog died today. She let out this unearthly and loud moaning sound, and then when I came to see what it was about I found her limp and in a puddle of her own urine. Rushed her over to a nearby pet hospital, but there wasn't much they could do. My parents took it the hardest, but this will probably stick with me longer.

Many places will still have Turkey for Christmas. In fact on both holidays you often have both.
Because of the Hispanic influence in my local area, the ham is usually replaced with a whole roasted pig (may or may not be suckling).

I'm only coming down from the weird feelings depression and spiteful rage the outcome inspired in me. I didn't sleep well the night of either.
I'll probably stop being angry at my parents for this, but I will not be talking politics with them for awhile (I hope).

What exactly gave the edge in that game? Think you could replicate it or were the dice gods just on your side? Also I hope you only have to go to the mechanic once to get it fixed.
Anyway, its Judgement Election Day here so it's going at least a little stressful even if I technically don't have much to do.

Overtime optional? Pfft, what kind of socialist utopia do you think you live in?

Hopefully it did resolve itself quickly.
Also, it looks like you were right to avoid getting a Wii U Applelight now that the Nintendo Switch is going to be a thing.

This ear infection of mine won't go away, and it's going to/has already cost me a lot.
I was wondering if anyone had been watching FiM lately. I caught some stuff about what's been happening as of late and it kind of comes across like they are kind of retreading old ground in some episodes.

Well it turns out there was nothing to worry about. Not even all that much in the way of rain happened, though we did lose power for a couple of hours.
Can't say the people up the coast were quite as lucky.

Well were going to be some ways from the direct impact so I'm not too worried. We will probably lose power though.
That being said there is a decent chance that the storm might come around and hit us again, which is pretty insane given how Hurricanes usually work.

Well, since the hurricane we weren't expecting is apparently going to be a lot closer then we thought so there is some scrambling about at the moment.
Also got my first rejection email from the nearly 40+ applications I've sent out so. . .at least I know they are being read. . .maybe.

That bothered me significantly less then. . ."what the hell was Callaghan going to to do if Hiro's project wasn't (apparently?) ideal for his revenge plot?" "Why didn't he come up with some other plan other then, essentially, 'steal a kid's science project'?" "Why did they decide to remain super heroes?" "This city has had a grand total of one super villain, no history of super villains, and not widespread crime to speak of except for maybe illegal gambling."
Honestly, this really does seem like the sort thing would have worked better as a 26-52 episode anime. The plot probably would have made more sense at least, and characters other then Hiro could have been fleshed out a bit.
Still wouldn't call it bad since Hiro and Baymax (the two characters that ultimately make the movie) were enjoyable enough.

It's kind of weird not to have my parents around for the next couple of days, but I guess it does give me an opportunity to catch up on somethings I've been wanting to do like watching new Disney films. The first one was Big Hero 6 and. . .while it was fun and enjoyable I can't help but think the the story in that movie is so flimsy that if you stared at it too closely it would just collapse and turn into dust. It was also surprising how incidental all (and I do mean all) the super hero elements were in that movie.
