You don't have an area with an exhaust vent or anything?

Thesis proposal defense is a success. I shall celebrate by napping and/or watching youtube videos and/or games.

Wishing for December, where I get a temporary reprieve from school.

Never heard of that show before.
Also, good to know your friend is alright.

The one where a mouse and a bear end up being friends despite mice being afraid of bears and vice versa, and eventually get into trouble with the police because of reasons. It's got this amazing animation that somehow pulls off a traditional hand-drawn/watercolor style in Flash (based on what I researched after watching the movie). Between this and Fantastic Mr. Fox and a short film Here's the Plan, I think I've just got a thing for animated talking animals. I've kinda started looking for more stuff like these that aren't from one of the big animation studios.

Just watched Ernest and Celeste, and it was the most warm fuzzies I've had in a while.

A couple reasons, really. One, I ended up rolling the combat-aligned Mongols for my faction, and I'm at the point where I have their unique super-mobile horse archer units. Two, the Iroquois expanded really aggressively early game, and I was hoping to get other civs to also denounce them before I start fighting them and knocking out a city or two.
But most of all, they sniped a stone resource from under my nose. That made it personal.
(And four, I actually do want to go to war with them for reasons outlined above, but not be the one to declare war myself. So this is kind of the outcome I wanted, I'm just surprised they escalated it so quickly.)

Things are hectic. Trying to maintain a pace where I get things done while not burning out.
In Civ news, it seems the Iroquois are very sensitive about being denounced, because they declared war on me immediately afterwards.

Yeah, if it's been three weeks, I'd try mutual friends. Or anyone that knows them, see if anyone else has seen or heard from your friend.
Hopefully they just went someplace and never told anyone. That was the story with an old friend of mine who went missing a couple days.

Note to self: Civ V is not a half-hour-break sort of game. Can't actually do anything in just half an hour. Save it for when you have the whole day off or something.
I mentioned before that Starcraft went free some time ago. Now I hear that the same thing's going to happen to Starcraft 2? (Not sure if this rumor is legit at this point.)

I remember a time when they were still literally floppy.

I think the original Starcraft got released for free at some point? Fully caught up with BoJack Horseman! Pony next! Hollyhock is best pony. But seriously, even if all the season finales were remarkable in some way, the one for season 4 was just something else.

They start using hex grids, which I like. It's been a while since I've played 4, so I don't remember what's new in terms of gameplay.

Civ V (probably extending to Civ games in general) feels more satisfying to me on the short game difficulty. I'm not sure I understand the mindset of those who prefer giant marathon sessions just to play one run.

Yup, you're almost done. A lot of good standout episodes in that season, if I may say so.
