You know, I'm disappointed that the big framed picture of the mane six didn't get used in the end. Twi would have liked it.

Yeah, I was surprised that they didn't keep that. Then again, it could always show up later, I guess.

It would be a shame to lose that picture. It's nice! Oh and I can finally do the livewatch tonight. I have space again!

Time for the live watch! - why is two ponies cleaning animals so cute? - ...you don't want to go home do you Twilight? - Wow, they have really improved the animation of the show. Look how good Fluttershy's house looks! - Fluffy Angel! - Them Pancakes look good. - 4.02 to 4.20...cutest moment in FIM in a while. - The animation has definitely improved. It's the little movements... - Dash you wino, calm down. - Maybe you should have coordinated this guys. - Sweet Celestia...my thoughts exactly Spike. - Love the new do Twilight! - Bulk Biceps the Masseuse is a concept so brilliant. - Rainbow Scrunch! - Ouch, feels. - The echo gags make me laugh.

The best part? The Bulk Biceps thing didn't come out of nowhere:

I see they're now reminiscing which is nice...the sonic rainboom book crash for example.

I loved the callback to "Super Speedy..." and Dashie being a ciderholic. @ JT: I'd never seen that Bulk Biceps card before. The way this was incorporated in the show was brilliant! A most unexpected cameo, given the setting.

I loved the callback to "Super Speedy..." and Dashie being a ciderholic. Me too! I thought the end result was touching. Those memory crystals are pretty cool too.

Yeah, I liked how they went with something a bit more meaningful than "Let's fill the whole place up with books!"

That is true. It actually looked like it was veering that way too so I was pleasantly surprised when it didn't come to that. The picture was also nice though. Actually this episode mirrors something that's been going on in my own life. I'm making better use of photos of friends and family on account of everyone drifting away due to work or moving away etc. Preserve the memories and all that. That's not weird is it?

Yeah, I liked how they went with something a bit more meaningful than "Let's fill the whole place up with books!" It's frustrating to run into fans who think not filling the palace up with books was a copout.

Seriously, everyone is like "WHY DIDN'T THEY BOOOOOOKKKKKK?" and I'm like "They literally said in the episode that the castle has a library." The only bit of that complaint I can see is how they specifically had everyone mention books as a solution and then go do something else without explaining why they didn't use the books, but that's a really minor issue. And yeah, I can't believe they actually used that card trivia in the show. Now we'll have to check all the other cards for foreshadowing.

It is a little strange that that wasn't their first thought instead what they decided to go with first.

I'm wondering how they went from books to memory crystals hanging from a tree root chandelier myself. I would have liked to have seen it, although it would have spoiled the surprise.
