Yeah it was about 5 years ago. Killing In The Name specifically. Can't get more anti-Christmas than that!

So I recently stumbled across this video, which I hadn't watched in years. It's so incredibly stupid, but I can't stop cracking up when I watch it:

That works shockingly well. I'm listening to Mouth Sounds right now. It's a mashup mixtape by Niel Cicierega (the guy behind "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny", Lemon Demon, Potter Puppet Pals, Brodyquest, Animutation, and I'm sure there's some other stuff I'm forgetting). It's equal parts amusing and unsettling. It's the music you play at your 90s nostalgia-themed party when you want your guests to leave already, dammit. It's the music from that fever dream about Mike Meyers you had that one time. It's ... well ... Smash Mouth actually sounds pretty good mashed up with Daft Punk, and I don't know what to believe in anymore. www.neilcic.com/mouthsounds/It's been three years. When I first posted about that, I forgot to mention that Neil did a followup, titled Mouth Silence. www.neilcic.com/mouthsilence/Well, earlier this week, Neil completed the trilogy with Mouth Moods, which might be the best of the bunch, or at least the most consistently good. The best tracks are "Floor Corn" (a surprisingly fitting mashup of "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" and "Popcorn") and "Bustin" (which turns the Ghostbusters theme into a manic song about sex). It's completely nuts. www.neilcic.com/mouthmoods/

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" played with only one note.

Weirdly enough it actually sounds pretty good until the singing starts.
