I just checked the score. Did Brazil send out their second-stringers or something?

I hope this shows the importance of the Team Captain. Brazil don't have theirs and look at what is happening.

Hey guys what did I mi. . .the hell!?
I mean. . .I know the Brazilian team was kind of overrated, but. . .seriously?!
I'm going to say one thing. This next half is going to get ugly. Prepare for diving. Prepare for officiating that's going to make Brazil v. Columbia look professional. Brazilian desperation is going to be out in full force.
And of course that's before (or possibly after) what the populace does.

Well, I expected Germany to beat Brazil after Brazil lost their top scorer, but 5-0 in the first thirty minutes. That's just embarrassing. And now it's 7-0 with ten minutes left.

Well, Brazil does get the ever so slight dignity of having the last goal. But the game still ends in a 7-1 massacre for Brazil.
Apparently the German fans in the stadium have been asked to remain in the stadium until they could be escorted out. I don't know what to say to that.

What can I say. What a massacre. 3 goals in 6 minutes.
Now you know the power of...ze Germans.

I can't really call that the power of Germany. That was really more a demonstration of the absolute collapse of the Brazilian team.
I could see the US or some of the knocked out teams coming back and beating them, if not as badly.

To quote Rainbow Dash from "Magical Mystery Cure":
"Uhh...what just happened?"

The Brazilian team was kidnapped and replaced with third-stringers, apparently.

True. This is more about how bad they (the Brazilians) were.
But this is how the Germans do it; simple, efficient and ruthless. Every move is flawless. Notice how when they go forward and the other team is too tight on them, they simply pull back their attack and start again? Nobody else thinks to do that as often as the Germans, and it shows. Everyone else can learn a lot from them.

I'm not sure what it says when the team that came closest to beating Germany was Ghana, way back in the group stage. That ended in a tie.
I have no idea what other nation emulates Germany's style, at least to that extent. The temptation of playing "flashy" is usually to great I think.

I have to call it a night now unfortunately. I really wish I didn't. This was football history in the making right there.

Yes, it's that time again. It seems that Germany scored so many goals in the last game that there were none left for The Dutch or Argentinians. Another 0-0 game going into extra time and penalty kicks look likely to me.
