Another strong episode. An interesting take on the balance between turning a profit and remaining true to your artistic vision.

For me, it was more about not interfering with the boss' vision for the company. One can, and sometimes should give their input, but you're the one working for them, not the other way around. (For a moment, I was worried that what's-her-name was going to attempt some sort of corporate coup.)
Also, Rarity should have been more assertive from the beginning. But maybe she wasn't exactly sure about what she wanted for Canterlot Carousel in the first place.

Yeah, a good part of the conflict would have been avoided if Rarity had said "To hell with your market research!" sooner.

I genuinely had absolutely no idea. I was more cut off than I released! Well, I least I have something to watch after work tomorrow.

There's no reason it couldn't be about both those things. In any case, I was impressed by how balanced they made it. It would've been really easy to make the "mass production" side out as evil and just leave it there.

Rarity really should've asked for some references.

Rarity really should've asked for some references. Ain't that the truth. At least Sassy learned a lesson in the end. There was a lot of continuity in this episode (references to Rarity's past successes, the window). I was worried Rarity was leaving Ponyville but it's nice that she's still mainly operating out of there. The message of the episode wasn't bad either.

Yeah, on the whole it was really solid. There was never really any serious chance of her leaving Ponyville, but I do like that they addressed the issues that could arise from this sort of delegation.

Yeah that was good of them addressing that. Also is it me or are there lots of British accented ponies about Canterlot?
