Very interesting episode. Plenty of worldbuilding for the griffons, and a continuation of the theme from the premier: the mane six inspiring others to live better and spread harmony.
Rainbow Dash's impression of Twilight Sparkle made me laugh harder than anything else this whole season.

The screen caps a on Derpibooru looked interesting. I can't wait to see it.

Okay, watching now. Will be back when I finish.
EDIT: Okay, watched it. Overall pretty good. The whole notion of the griffon kingdom relying entirely on the idol was a bit weird, but on the whole I thought it was handled pretty well. I still wouldn't say that I'm a fan of Gilda, but I definitely prefer how she was handled in this episode to her original appearance. It sheds a bit of light on why she was so harsh in her debut. The worldbuilding was interesting too; on the whole I almost get the idea that Griffonstone is like a city-state that's somehow part of Equestria. It looks too small to be an entire kingdom, and it would explain both why Twilight treats it like part of Equestria as well as why the Griffons are present in the Equestria Games. Maybe after the idol got stolen, the kingdom went so far downhill that it got absorbed into Equestria somehow.
Favorite moments were definitely RD's Twilight impression as well as Pinkie trying to eat the scone.

I just finished watching it too! Guys I loved it! Pinkie was great in this episode (I love that pony! ), it had a nice ending, and some really cool world building to boot. Plus, it was pretty hilarious too. RD's impersonation of Twilight, Pinkie suffering another baked bads incident (I like how they're starting to use her big eating habits against her in jokes) and the little 'thing' going on between Pinkie and...a statue. Loved them all. I actually really liked what they did with the Griffons. And there was a lot of self ware humor in this episode too, like: You know what this scones need? Let me guess the magic of friendship? No...baking powder. This has been a very strong season so far.

Also, how Rainbow Dash called out the sappiness of Pinkie's speech at the end.

Yeah that too. I did like how Griffons were/are kinda like Dwarves. A nice touch.

Old friends getting back together will always have a special place in my heart.
Though I can't help but feel that the resolution was a bit rushed.

Agreed, though it was kind of inevitable with the amount of content in this episode.

That's the problem with the short length of the episodes. They have to sort of cram it all in. It's not really a problem though imo.
I loved the start of this episode too. Pinkie baking with gummy.

It was kind of a pity that he hadn't actually made the cake when they got back, though.
