I think that sort of thing can be okay, as long as one is self-aware about it and doesn't ... well, get off to real people actually getting hurt. I mean, slapstick comedy is a thing. It's considered perfectly normal to laugh at characters suffering. I don't think it's any worse to find their suffering cute. I suppose that's one reason why I think it's cute. It's pretty funny, and funny pinkie is cute so...yeah. But it's dependent upon what the suffering is. Becoming fat with a tummy ache is one thing. The mental breakdown discord gave her back in season two is another. I certainly wouldn't feel the same way about a real life situation!

Yeah, that whole sequence was intended to be amusing and cute to a degree. If they wanted it to be serious they wouldn't have written it that way.

What might have happened: It's so cute (those new mane styles), and yet it's so wrong!

The year before last, when I was working with the bins, one of the guys I was working with told me about this awesome piece of art. It was two kids sword fighting each other with cardboard tubes whilst wearing dish towel capes...but their shadows formed Obi Wan and Darth Vader with their light sabers. Well, today whilst going to get frames for my degree and another pic I saw some more of the artist work from the same collection. Check this out: but if you think that one's good, check this one out: How awesome are those? They look 10 times better in person too. If I had £450 to spare I'd buy the Bubba Fett one in a heartbeat. One day I'll own nice art.

In the first pic: Ah, the old trash can lid shields of invulnerability. Come at me, you evil, no good, and generally not-nice villain!

Ironically, he's pretending to be a TIE Fighter, which are the primary starfighters of the bad guys and notorious for their fragility and lack of life support systems.

Oh hush, when you're a kid all you think about is FIRING LASERS IN SPACE.

So... Fleetfoot with a darker coat? Yeah, the darker shade of blue is rather more appealing. And I don't care that much for the Wonderbolts flight suit color scheme. Oh hush, when you're a kid all you think about is FIRING LASERS IN SPACE. When I was very, very young, I thought the plot of Star Wars boiled down to the good guys blowing their own planet so the bad guys couldn't do it first.

When I was very, very young, I thought the plot of Star Wars boiled down to the good guys blowing their own planet so the bad guys couldn't do it first. My first exposure to Star Wars was walking into the living room while my parents were watching the battle of Hoth part of the Empire Strikes Back when I was like 4 or 5. I only got a glimpse, then promptly went back to my room and drew a picture of jumbo jets fighting giant robot cats.
