Portugal and Germany have been oddly aggression this match. It's pretty good.
Don't know how Portugal gonna recover from that Red Card though. . .and the answer seems to be that they aren't.
Germany's up 3-0 at the half.

I'm actually about to watch this match on a recording due to way too much good tv at the moment so now I'm really interested to see!

Well I didn't get to see the second half of the match, but it looks like it turned into the massacre I thought it would be.

Yeah Germany beat Portugal silly tonight. Meanwhile, the USA lead Ghana 1-0 at half time.

The USA is indeed leading, though I'm not confident that that lead will stick.
By the way, does only one team advance from each group? I don't know the exact rules of that.

I was kinda surprised to hear about The Netherlands winning their game. I wouldn't have pegged them for a big football/Soccer country?
I actually knew a fellow in elementary and highschool who moved to Spain for several years to 'study' soccer, too, so I kind of understood that they were like, one of THE places for it.

Most of Europe is at least decent, from what I understand. I don't think anyone expected that sort of blowout, but I doubt anyone thought that the Spurs would beat the Heat by 20 points in three straight games, so who knows?

The Dutch (or this team of theirs at least) are great footballers. The Germans are football monsters, as that match showed. Most European countries are good for sure.
Meanwhile, tonight it's Brazil v Mexico. This will be interesting.

So. . .at the half Chile is leading Spain 2-0.
This not only unexpected, but really quite embarrassing.

They seem to be falling apart. Not unlike Portugal did with Germany. Though this is quite a bit worst obviously.
This is not looking to be a good cup for the Iberian Peninsula teams.

Absolutely. And just as Spain is in a depressed rut too.

And so it done. Spain loses 2-0, and is effectively eliminated after it's second game having been out scored 7-1 after said two games.
Unbelievable.
On a brighter note that means both The Netherlands and Chile advance to the round of 16.
