I talked about this once a few years ago, and the idea came back to me. For any TF2 fans out there, what would you like the third game to be like?
Since 2 was set in the sixties/early seventies, I say 3 should be set in the 80s and be filled with shout outs to it. For example, the new heavy could basically be Arnold Schwarzenegger. Or maybe the soldier is better suited for him. Either way, you should feel like you're in an eighties action flick playing it.

I haven't really played much TF2, but that sounds hilarious.

I haven't really played much TF2, but that sounds hilarious. Ah thank you! You know the basic premise of the game right? I think that should remain, because it's tried and tested.

Cool. Well yeah like I said, the premise and backstory should remain the same. It's just moved forward. Although is 10-15 years enough time? Because part of me thinks they'll make it on the future or something.

Given that the time period is mostly aesthetic, I don't think it matters much.

There should probably be a crazy Vietnam vet in there who still thinks he's fighting the vietcong. Cliched I know but sometimes you need a tried and tested character type.

Now I'm imagining a TF game with the cast of Tropic Thunder.
