Happy to hear the cookout went well. I'm almost done with my furniture. I just need to varnish the bed and arrange it and bam, I'm done!!!

How's everyone doing? I apologise for my absence. I'm almost done with this work.
It'll be great to finally at long last start that falcon model. Along with everything else. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting.

Thesis project is a go. We're making a game that teaches programming logic. Research phase is stressful, can't wait until we move on to actual production.

@ Kyler Cool! So would this be the use of formulas to help run programmes through computers? I'm sorry if that's a stupid question but I've got limited knowledge of it.

My knowledge of programming is limited to one class I took in high school. Is the game intended to explicitly be an educational thing, or is it just a regular game that happens to run on programming logic?

It would take too long to explain in full, but you basically have instruction blocks and a limited amount of space to play with. My approach is to make a kickass game where you "accidentally" learn something while you play.
Because I've seen too many "educational games" try to be another boring lecture poorly disguised as a game.

That's what I was wondering. Educational games can be lots of fun if they're done well.

That's a clever way to go. You have to make it engaging. Also, the new edition of 40k goes on pre order tomorrow. GW is really going for my walllet.

I know that feeling. There's all sorts of stuff I want to pick up, but probably shouldn't because my hours are reduced over the summer and I don't have as much cash on hand as usual.
Also, all this talk of educational games makes we want to go back and play Logical Journey of the Zoombinis.

Well that sucks. Hope they get that sorted out soon.
I finally got another one of my boxes unpacked. Took me long enough.

I've got too much stuff. It took me most of yesterday to shift through and I'm still not done. Nearly there though.

Hey, everybody. It's good to know that everyone is doing ok despite inconveniences.
I've actually recently a new job with the state. I probably won't know how good/ bad the work is for sometime, but at least the pay and benefits are better (a lot better in the case of benefits).
On the down note though, our new dog is sick, though it's thankfully not as bad as we feared. Still cost a lot of money though.
