Before I had a computer, and long before YouTube, I had to jump through hoops to find out who sang the "You Don't Have to Worry" song I was hearing every day at my former workplace. Mary J. Blige? Nope, that CD's going back. New Edition? Nope, that CD's going b...actually I like this. Except for the rap part. I'll keep this CD. I finally asked if I could listen to the song in the store and, if it was the right one, I'd buy the CD. The guy looked at me like I had three heads, but agreed. Bingo, it's by a trio called the Family Stand. They had talent, but they never did hit it big. Oh well.

I remember originally clicking on this video because of the equipment. "Hey, a vintage reel-to-reel deck!" I stuck around because the song really caught my attention. A ballad with a "marching band"-style drumbeat? This is "Man is Not a Bird" by Broadcast.

Recently I've been listening to the Killing Joke and Echo and the Bunnymen. I'd post links but I'm busy.

This is the only Echo and the Bunnymen song I know: That's good. Here's a favorite of mine from them too:

I just know "Bring on the Dancing Horses" because the music video fo Starflyer 59's "No New Kinda Story" has a shout out to it.

Do you guys like or dislike them? My friends aren't fans.

Guided By Voices' Alien Lanes was highly recommended by a friend, but I think it's not my thing.

As it turns out the full Red Dwarf theme is actually really epic:

The last thing I listened to was the entire "I Love You" album by The Neighbourhood (the guys behind Afraid and Sweater Weather). It is very incredibly easy to lose yourself in a trance just listening to it.

(Benny) Latimore is best known for "Let's Straighten It Out". "Keep the Home Fire Burning" kind of fell through the cracks. Shame.
This is from 1975, when pretty much everybody was recording in stereo, yet every version I've heard of this song is kinda "wobbly" mono, like a half-hearted attempt at simulated stereo.
